Third day at NIU [US]

Wow can't believe that three days have flew past. Today was rather a busy day and a bad one actually.
In the morning we have morning plans to go out for a jog however the mist is so thick we decided to cancel the plan and postpone it to tomorrow. Hope that tomorrow weather will be suitable for a jog.
As for breakfast today we went to blackhawk and have a buffet. The food there was alright but not very good.

Right after breakfast we have a talk from Lily Ann about some cultural information in US. Her talk was very interactive and i really enjoy what she says. She have planned out the workshop carefully with all the activities so that it will not bore us off. I have also learn a lot of things from her for example, what we should except from the host family and what are some of the questions we should ask when we are there.

Next up we finally received our ID for the usage of computers in NIU and we have lunch at the Neptune. I was so full that i only took a bowl of cereal and a plate of fries. Goodness i am going fatter by the days!

We also have the talk from Dr Kate about the Goals and targets for this programme. We also have activities to find out which event that we will be going through will attain these targets.

Last but not least the most interesting event team bonding conducted by Tey. It was fun and interesting especially the different kinds of country showing respect to their seniors. But i want to suggest that next time each country to come up with a game that will help to bring the team together as one.

Hi readers, its long every since i last blog. Right now i am in the States the weather here is terrible and i have came down with a flu,a bad one.

last week trip to Genting with the choir was a fun one. On top of all the workshops and presentation, we went to the arcade, do some shopping and of course bowling. Now the Sec 1 members are more experienced as they are being exposed to the workshops and other good choirs like VJC.

I definitely love the workshops conducted by clinicians there, they have a good sense of humour and made the workshop interesting. And also I enjoyed the time spent with my group at the arcade and the bowling alley it was so fun. After this trip i have understand my juniors more and i have also learn how to do debrief, how to plan the time and attire for the next day.

Over there we also have done some choir bonding and i think that everyone love the polar bear game. I hope everyone have a good rest after the trip and i prepared for the school and CCA open house.

The concert on the last day was not that bad but we still can improve on it. Mr Foong says 'the sec 1 and 2 have improved vastly compared to the first day we reached Genting'. Everyone was happy but Choir lets don't be complacent and work towards getting a gold in the next Taiwan competition. That night teachers allow us not to sleep, went to Andrew's room and played cards for the whole night then everyone got so tired that we dozed off.

Came back to Singapore went back home and sleep sleep sleep. Lucky for me my Mum helped me packed my luggage. Following morning went to the airport at 4.15pm to have breakfast with my godma's relative. Took a plane over to Japan (7hours) my ass hurts man! Then at Narita (Japan) we ate Mac and i have to change my US money into Yen.lol... Then took another plane to US about 11 hours worse! There was turbulence and for a moment i thought i was going to die! It was a rough ride bad enough!

When we upon arrivals we were fetched to NIU. Almost everyone fell asleep haha you can't imagine how qiu ying slept... We reached the Hostel at around 5pm here and everyone is dead tired cause of the jet lag. But we still have to dragged our feets to dinner before we can sleep. Speaking of this We eat and sleep and sleep and eat on the plane my weight have increase by 5kg haha jk jk.

Day 2
Not a bad day. This day we received our allowance US$150 for a week and we went to the walmart which is like a supermarket which have everything i bought pills for my flu, cough and also vitamin C. I have been sniffing through the entire day what a horrible time. Hope that i will get better tomorrow.

Note: they have notified us that it might be snowing this Wednesday... I am so looking forward to it.

Hey how is everyone... It has been ages ever since i updated my blog.
Recently, i am so stress out, i am always being schedule and have one whole pile of homework to do and hand in... sad sad life.
Wednesday, 10 of us went for the interview for the U.S leadership program together with 4 teachers. It was quite fun actually. Joshua tried to cheer us up and he succeeded... The chicken wing dance haha.

Tomoro is my O level physic first SPA assessment. I hereby wish myself and all those who are taking up the exam tomoro good luck. Be clam and focus guys. WE CAN DO IT XD XD.

Had an outing with Buttuta(OBS group) today at Vivo it was a fun one although the waiting time was not. You can check out the cool picture of us on my facebook!!!
Just before we went home we went to visit a African shop. The people there are scary they suddenly come behind you and help u wear a necklace. Then expect you to buy. Aiya where got people do business like that one.

Happy Bday to my triplets: Wen Jun, Rayner and me yeah!!!

Today was my best birthday but the worst national day... We were i class no celebration due H1N1. How i miss celebrations. Sob... The school actually planned to go Jurong complex there but in the end its cancelled sad rite...SOB SOB.

Then we have it in class some activities which i didn't get to play rawr but its ok its fun to see the class so high and happy. This year i got a Zinc bag( i didn't really expect that lor frineds) really surprised. And Shu yun made mi sth haha so nice must have spent a lot of time making that thank you... We then went to Jurong Point to eat and then went to West coast to play :D:D it was fun!! To look at the picture i took today go to my facebook account!!!

Oh my life have suddenly became interesting i went to science centre and saw sth amazing!!! The electicity was so cool votage damn high. It can burst a balloon! and i have a good experince i volunteer myself on one of the experiments holding a light bulb (those long ones in class) when the votage is on the light bulb light up slowly!!!! Mine is red sad i didnt take down sob...

OMG how long have i not blog cant believe it MUST keep it alive!!!! Yesterday went out with the choir com. to do some shopping for camp stuff as well as Marcus's present.

I hope the choir com relations can get better as the days progress!!! If not every single one of us is a failure so what if u have been in the com for 1 year +. Lets put our hearts and soul into the choir and make it a success!!!!

OMG my blog is so dead
Sorry for not updating myself hahaXD...

Last week i was so damn shocked... Chunni's fault... Here is the story i went for SMP early at Fusionopolis then some over there committed suicide and guess what i saw THE BODY andthe head was bleeding and i was like OMG.
CHUNNI ur fault!!!

This week was so busy i have the 2 July performance and 2 commontest to do. Chinese and English... The 2 July performance was great i think everyone have did their best and it was good. Congrats to everyone!!!! Next was the 2 commontest it can be done hope i score well in this term really wish:D:D. Nothing very special happening this week and last thing before i sign off...

Finally came back from OBS so tired rawr i kanna SUNBURN now all red and my forehead's skin peeling off... Rawr Wen Sheng your fault:D:D (took my cap)

First day... (OBS)

Very tired went to school very early and qiu ying was late... haha. We then took a bus there which was so damn cold on the inside Valerie and Nicole talk the whole journey and some people like Arron slept. I was confused then if i have made the correct choice of going for OBS haha=X Its like you want "suffer" when you can enjoy life haha but u really look forward to getting to know my new friends=x

We took a ferry from Punggol to Pulau Ubin so cool nice breeze.

On our arrival we still still stay in our clicks not very open to each other. Our group is known as Battuta. Member consist of...

Wen Sheng is the first friend i got to know in the camp i think is through the trusting game.

We did some bonding games like getting to know each other better.

Next is trusting games, we must trust each other and believe that the friend will catch you before you fall.
Comments for this game: Cool. It made our bonding between each person stronger by trusting each other and from this games you really got to trust the person supporting you.
Then we were taught some skills.
*Outdoor cooking
*Tent pitching.

Commenting on the day:
I think in order to know each other better we must be open to team. And trust is an important factor to bonding, the stronger the trust the stronger our bonding. Overall today activities everyone participated actively.

Apologise:
-To Wen Sheng and Zhi Xiang for not trusting you all in the first place i think i need to work on that. And Thank you for not getting irritated with me and keep pushing me not to give in and trust you all. In the END i did it yeah!!!

Day 2

Learning to be organise in our packing for the night in the jungle.

We are also taught how to kayak, i was partnering with Kenn haha... Then the instuctors wanna play ask as all tried to catch both of them. Guess what me and Kenn caught both of them wahaha... We strong sia haha jkjk..XD So fun!!!

Next we pack our things and set off for camp 1... Bad idea we put the bottles onto the poles. So damn heavy so no choice me kenn and wen sheng carry cause only 7 guys and got 9 girls wads more wen sheng from BB+ basketball so strong haha=X And i died due to the kayaking my arms breaking off soon.

We reach there put up our tents in the Jungle and went for more activities. I did Snakes and ladder more of using arm strenght. Me and my partner managed to reach the top in the shortest time span and Kenn and Wen sheng did some pole stuff and both of them are the only group that got up to the top. Congrats to us...XD

What have i learn from this experience.
- We need to be organise so that we know what we have packed & what we have not otherwise the whole group will be in chaos. Teamwork, we need teamwork in order to get the boat fast moving. Encouragement is another important factor when the team is in difficult situation we need to cheer each other on.

Comments: Its really a new experience to sleep in the Jungle, it is really uncomfortable on the ground mat and 4 people sleeping to a tent very squeezy. I guess we have been too fortunate all along.

Day 3

Hiking...
It was so fun we didn't know we have walked 9 km. Throughout the journey we sing songs and we have forgotten all the pain and weight on our shoulder. It was so cool. I really enjoyed all those songs and appreciate those people who sang with me. We also have conquer all the activities in each checkpoint although we have failed one of it, we learn from our mistake and not commit it again. We have also climbed the tallest hill in Pulau Ubin and throw a rock that represent our weakness down the hill. I love the scenery over there.
We also shared our history and background which make us more bonded together.
After knowing that we are the first to reached our camp site. We 'celebrated' we have tons of free time and started gossiping haha=D I will never forget all those laughter we shared.

At night one of the guys tent was under ants attack haha=D Wen Sheng was so irritated that he came over to sleep with us so there is 5 in a tent haha we survive that night wow haha. Oh and at night they starting singing again the song heartless until the instrustor came to tell us off. See i have such huge influence!!!! haha

Day 4

Was the best day we kayak all round Pulau Ubin cool rite!!! Qiu ying so strong paddle throughout i die half way so pai sei haha... We sang on the kayak as well see i am so obsess with singing haha XD On the sea we saw a Jelly Fish it was pink said Qiu ying but i saw orange lol maybe i was colour blind anyway it was the first time i saw a real jellyfish so cool like a plastic bag. Right after the kayaking we went to the jetty jump so cool i volunteered to be one of the swimmer although i was not that strong. haha XD It was so much fun i jump when a school of fish swam past i jump down they jump up so cool haha:D Then later that night we saw a wild boar i was like OMG. I was so lucky that day i saw both the jelly fish and wild boar cool haha battuta rox... Timing so exact...

At night the reflection maybe you guys didn't know i was about to breakdown i dont want friday to come. While thinking of the past few days i almost cried i am always a soft hearted person. I think a few of us feel that way too (qiu ying and wen sheng too i guess). Kenn was like telling me not to breakdown infront of girls. But emotions is not something you can control. Just wondering did anyone noticed????

Hey guys have you all realise that Faisal is very obvervant? He can remember stuff we said for example the last day i was like saying the journey doesn't ends here and there is a bright future ahead of us and he remembered together with some other of our comments. I was like wow good memory hahaXD Hope i have make a good impression of myself in each and everyone of you all and hope i will always be remembered...

I will always cherrish your comments and will miss everyone of you...

OH ONE LAST THING I HAVE BECAME TANNED YEAH!!!! XD

Yell at my sister just now she was totally unreasonable. She was piss off then blast the radio. My mum didn't scold her so i did. She was like ' you are in no position to scold me.' screaming at me. And i was so damn angry just imagine a younger siblings that is so unreasonable. I yelled back at her louder overpowering her voice. (choir sure helps:D) Then she broke off crying i wasn't feel good too but just imagine if u are our neighbour some maniac blast songs every time she is angry how will u feel. Whats more now is in the night people need to rest. Still angry haiz i can be scary sometime haha:X:X

Hi people woo today i went to Bugis the biggest library in Singapore with more than 14 floors!!!! Big Rite??? Jue Hao, Jasmine, Chunni, Li Ping, Cindy accompanied me there. We went there for the library's book exchange to my surprise, a lot of people were queuing even before 1030 when it start but we managed to get good books. After all those squeezing and pushing a lot of people wa damn amazed. Very worth it I hope the library can have more of this kind of activities.

Its very sad when the seniors have to step down. We have been so close to them like friends you know can't really part with them its very saddening. :c I would like to thank our choir seniors for bring the choir to such great heights and the time we have spent together will be very memorable. The joy and laughter we have been through together. Especially the Batam trip it was so damn fun. I will never forget the SYF where everyone give it all they have. Kinono was damn touching...

Thank you Seniors once again the choir welcomes you back anytime... Jia you for your o levels. I hope that the new com can be as good or even better than you guys and keep up to our Gold With Honour standard.

wow happy happy People reading my blog i have a good news. Choir got Gold With Honour wahaha...happy happy i am so happy. You know what when the result is announced the whole choir is screaming people was damn touched and some cried( tears of joy)

Wa the guys worst carry people and throw arh i kanna also but too heavy wahaha good to be heavy. Ping yee worst haha he too light liao we throw him up and down wahahaha... Everyone was so happy can't wait for tomoro announcement we will be like crazy.

Good day haha wow i was surprised when they announce the Malay dancers got gold with honour. Congrats to them. To all choir members must be like them k aim high and achieve high. We have work hard for months for the SYF i just not cool to not get what we want. Our Seniors have done their part in helping us and we should do our best. Just a period of a few more days before we go for the war i think everyone of us should give our 110 percent of our undivided attention to the songs and the conductors. Don't regret and cry after what is done, do the right thing and leave the stage with no regrets and with tears of joy. We as choir members have been chosen to participate in the SYF, the conductors have given us their hopes and giving us their every heart and soul for us to achieve a good result. Speaking of Earth hour i was damn piss off that day. If you wanna know why then continue better that you don't know.Lols.

Cause of the Earth's hour we are suppose to group our self up into groups of 5, then everyone have forgotten to group up as they didn't inform any of us. I actually call people up to group them up. People like Jia Wen, Joshua, Jasmine+++ I spent the whole night arranging them cause i hate last minute things and didn't do any of my homework. Then the next day, there was a guy who just drag my group people to his group. This was also one reason i was piss. Everyone one wants to be with their own group friends then since u already gave mi the people u want in ur group then why aren't u satisfied? Why do u have to pull people from my group? I ask u, then u give mi crap answers, say that a lot of people not here when there is only two people. It will still be Ok if your group is 4 people. Then when i asked again, u say Jasmine say that "My group was crap." when she only say that her group no other race people and i have told her that it is impossible to get all asian scholar into every group as there is only 4 of them there that day. Do you have to use such strong words like CRAP groupings? My way of grouping might be not good but at least i bother to do it. What did u do??? Nothing... Since you say my grouping was crap then shouldn't you regroup them???? You just conveniently take 4 people with you and leave the rest behind. Do you know that there is a group of seven and do you know one of our classmate is with another class?? I don't think so. And by taking 4 other people with you did you solve Jasmine problem? NO... They are still remained in the same group so what is the point?? I am really piss off with you and feel very heart-broken a good friend like you that i have known u for more than a year can actually say this kind of things. Bad day today, went to library to rush my homework with pearlyn, Jue hao+++ Quite nice i finished up with English, Chinese and Geog. yeah:D so only left with maths, Chem and biology...
When i was i the library there was a very heavy rain plus thunder and lightning outside. It was so big that my 3 different friends witness 3 different trees falling and i manage to get one of it in my phone yeah damn cool. It smash into the sheltered walkway at JE near the Mrt station. COOL MAN.

wa so long never blog liao where to start...
From saturday lor... i didn't go choir but return to Indonesia to attend a relative wedding dinner. We stayed in a hotel, the hotel there was horrible everything was aiya wordless. Over there that night, when everyone is eating, i was horrified, i learnt something from there after people eat, they will just dump the rubbish on the floor is so fun i tried doing that haha... One thing i like is the people there are very kind and they take the initative to take care of younger relative even though i wasn't their sibling. There are people elder than me there too so they are like hey hey eat leh don't shy... I was like lol haha but very touching scene when the elder one feed the younger one.

Today, when i came back from school with Ping yee we saw 3 kitten being drenched very very small. So being kind hearted me i carry them in a basket back home but sad my mum dont allow so she ask mi leave it at the void deck for people to adopt. I wonder how are they now?? I prey that they get a good owner.

Finally back in my house after all those "torture" haha not that bad lar...

First day, in school we are being divided into group 9 and 10. so my group consist of all the odd people. We have our group discussion on what to do during the campfire night. We then have our lunch break and the pasar malam where we need to remove all things from our bag lol the worst thing ever. We then took a bus to Changi camp site during the journey was damn quite i didn't know can bring phone so i didn't sad but i borrowed Jamine one cause i can live without music haha...
We were being brief and brought to our bunks one bunk for three classes i was sleeping next to Jeremy Goh and Jun Jie lol opposite us was Nicholas and Zhi Han and Marvin. Our instructors was quite nice to us Malina and If they rox... We have some icebreaker games and did some cheers. We also did our water confidence not that bad actually and it is very fun. The girls was screaming like dunno wad haha. We also have dragon boating which both group of three five won wohooo we rox we rock...
The night was very very stuffy and hot so some guys slept half naked haha that Nicholas lar still got who haha.

Second Day
Very very fun day we got lots of activities like rafting,high elements and kayaking. Everyone was so together man during the making of the raft and we succeeded yeah.
Campfire night was a success we have our cheers done quite well well done everyone...

third day
wake up seeing Nicholas half naked again haha jkjk sian last day liao must clean up not that bad lar cause we didn't actually do anything lol.

From this camp i think 3/5 have now been more bonded together and it will help us greatly in the next few years to come...

Forgot to mention the worst thing in this camp is i got SUNBURN arhhhhhhhhhhhhh it SUX!!!!

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR everyone. Have u read the newspaper? With regards to Fake Fifty dollars notes so take note. My Parents each gave me fifty so watch out it might not be a good thing haha. Wa school had started horrible day today. Three sciences together one day, first two period physic followed up by chem. Then is Geog which i taught by Mrs Abdulla, after lunch is Biology. So many subject going crazy liao. What to do haiz. Overload with stress haha see my URL. haha.

Today went for the CCA open house in the morning. Performance was not that bad i think haha. Next in the afternoon, went to the CC to recieve the scholarship given by the goverment. I thought it was $350 but to my surprise i was given $500 happy happy.

haiz this year can't celebrate christmas. I went Indonesia today to visit my relatives on our way there the sea was very rough i was a very bumpy journey but fun. The whole ferry was like biong biong biong. The sea breeze was strong and after all those fun it rain lol then must come down from the bridge.

Finally after 3 days of very tiring days. I came back from Batam to singapore. The days we spent over there was enjoyable. Staying over there was great especially the last day and the last night. The last night we planned not to sleep the whole gang of us, we play pool which is like so fun and we even challenge the other schools. Then we went to the beach to enjoy the cool breeze so nice wah. Then I went to Jian jia's room together with james and jian yong I slept and that jian jia took Bao yi psp go play until I woke up then he went to sleep like a pig haha no offence. The following day we went to have the seafood lunch "gong gong" was the first plate to be serve it is sort of a snail shell but taste very nice. Everyone at my table was disgusted with that so i took the first step and eat it but its not surprising cause i ate it before. Then Reine gather her courage and ate the second one such a disgrace to guys who don't dare to eat. Followed up by Vivian and Sin Woon. SO DARE ING. After that i ate the most followed up by Vivian. Surpirised. lol I was like Wow' Vivian sia'. Haha the rest of the days were interesting too the was is people who keep saying "enjoy" very one was like hahaha. We came back on the last boat and Jian jia was so damn tired that he dose off on my hand that gay. Lol then we are back on land he was like wobbling his way. haha. Everything was great over there.

I got the lastest Anthony Horowitz book the power of five. So cool the spine is green so are the pages. Very creative author indeed...

Everyone try watching Winxclub and the lost kingdom very nice. Thrill and excitement awaits for u waiting for u to take the first step. "Take another step and you will never take another step" copied from the movie. This is a movie about Bloom's parents and her kingdom "SPARKS". Its a story that is suitable for young and old even guys can watch u know damn nice. The story have some romantic parts too sad no one accompany me go watch..

Went for choir today after choir me, Jian Jia, Andrew....took bus 51 together with Shawn, Dione, Pearlyn, Jovina cause they going to queensway shopping centre. We actually planned to go Lan to check out cause i never been there before so i followed them sad to say we cannot enter...
On the bus, shawn offended Dione and she keep whacking him haha poor thing. Then they kept pushing the subject to me and Jovina lol. We are just FRIENDS nothing more. Talking about that i was so damn angry with QIU YUAN. I didn't do anything then she keep saying me and Jovina and in addition matthew was laughing like crazy people from IMH. NO offence. Back to that, since she say about, i dragged Harry in. Harry Pai Sei really sorry to drag you in but got no choice.

Later today i receive a letter from Clementi CC with regards to my position haha very happy next year on the 3rd of January 2009 will be receiving a cheque damn damn happy cannot wait till this day to arrive. Hope the rest of the week will turn out well too.

Yesterday went for the concert at NTUC auditorium before we go there, me, Jian Jia, Jian Yong and Lim Win went to lau pa sar to watch Lim Win eat haha crazy rite lol? Then out there we saw Terence the celebrity lol? So damn tall haiz nvm lar i taller than Jian Jia can liao... Talking about him that ass he ruin my reputation that grrrrr don't want to talk about it.

Yo People i'm back haiz nothing better to do so get two jobs. One as a Telemarketer and the other is a promoter of SCV. haha Today harry and gang went for the training hope everything turns out well. And pry hard that i can enter their group cause i alone in the other group very sian one lei.

New moon the story book so thick cannot and don't have time to finish it sian must read and read cannot give up haha. Went to work at jenelle place today call and call haha. The good thing was baby Onzo so CUTE!!! haha. Tomorrow going for movie wondering which movie will we watch???
